CARRERA GT INCONEL VALVED RACE PIPE

Introduction

The Carrera GT is one of the all time greats to come out of the Porsche factory but there’s still room for improvement in a few areas.

We recently turned our attention to this incredible machine and through the use of clever design and exotic materials, have been able to extract a little more power plus an all new incredible tone from the exhaust which brings a whole new character to this car, especially with the roof removed.

Direct Replacement / Modular Fitment

The JCR Inconel Valved Race Pipe is a full direct replacement product for the OEM Carrera GT rear silencer assembly. No fabrication required and no additional parts. Simply remove the factory rear silencer and replace with the JCR Inconel Valved Race Pipe and enjoy weight savings, power gains and an incredible sound.

Exotic Sound

The sound signature of the JCR Inconel Valved Race Pipe has been engineered to deliver a sound quality fitting of this masterpiece.

The 980 Carrera GT is known for its wonderful exhaust tone but there’s certainly something missing when it comes to outright drama. Maintaining that beautiful tone was a key factor in our design, whilst introducing some more volume, dropping weight and improving performance.

This system retains factory valve control, ensuring quiet cruising with valves closed with the ability to increase volume significantly with valves open.

Light Weight

Due to the construction and material choice we were able to achieve all of our performance goals plus reduce the weight of the exhaust compared to the OEM system by over 57%

This truly is a win-win modification saving over 19.98kg (44.05lbs) from the rear of the car.

Performance Increase

Every component of the JCR Exhaust line is guaranteed to improve HP & TQ with to a varying degree dependant on the specific combination of parts.

In this particular application, as shown below, the JCR Inconel Valved Race Pipe increases peak power and torque by 13HP & 11.4Nm respectively versus the OEM rear silencer.along with a very healthy boost of both HP and TQ throughout the full rev range.

Bespoke Storage System

As the factory exhaust system is so heavy, rare and expensive. We wanted to create a bespoke storage / transport solution to ensure that the factory exhaust can be kept safe, when not installed on the car.

The Storage Box not only perfectly and safely houses the stock exhaust, it also makes for a pretty impressive display box for the beautiful JCR Inconel Valved Race Pipe when it’s delivered.
