Sport Exhaust + double tailpipe – Porsche Boxster (986)

Several years of prototypes for this car. The difficulty: the 986’s catalytic converters have a right angle particularly harmful to gas flow, and at the converter outlets the gases make a 180° turn, slowing them further. Yet it is impossible to generate a high-level sound without gas speed – in the Porsche range, only the 986 and the 997 phase 2 have gas speeds this catastrophic for sound, which is why there is little satisfying on the market. This exhaust, on the other hand, accelerates the gases inside the exhaust.

We build it in 2 versions: a very angry Racing, and a tamer Sport. Note: in the videos shown, the Boxster is fitted with 200-cell converters and the Racing version. Thanks to Alexandre R., whose kindness and patience allowed us to push this complicated car to its full potential.

Fitting

• Strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions): direct replacement of the original part
• Mounts directly after the catalytic converters
• Average fitting time: 3 hours including removal (quicker if the old exhaust is in good condition)
• Fitting kit included: stainless bolts, stainless lock nuts, high-temperature copper grease
