Muffler Monte Carlo 2 inlets, 2 tailpipes – super sound – Porsche 911 (Type F)

This muffler has a story. One day, at one of our Porsche specialist garage customers, a man came to us: “Mr Scart, I have an incredible muffler on my 2.7L RS, but I think it is nearly done for. Can you do something for me?” Answer: yes, but we need it in one piece, otherwise no mock-up is possible. A year later, the call: “it’s time!” After some research, this muffler turned out to have been developed by Porsche in the early 70s for the mythical Monte Carlo race. It is a great pleasure to remake this part, which sublimates a legendary car – the famous 2.7L RS.

Note: only fits 911s with polyester bumpers. This muffler only exists with 2 outlets.

Fitting

• Strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions): direct replacement, no modification
• Mounts under the car, directly on the manifolds; fitting is fairly easy
• Average fitting time: 1 hour including removal of the original exhaust (longer if the bolts are corroded). A lift is not essential but strongly preferable
• Tighten all nuts progressively
• Fitting kit included: gaskets, stainless bolts and nuts, high-temperature copper grease
