Muffler sport Classic – Porsche 911 (997)

Our sport version for the 997 phase 1, with a sound halfway between stock and the Ultima Récital. It was developed to be fitted with 200-cell sport catalytic converters without getting too loud.

• A good bark the moment you turn the key
• Very discreet at cruising rpm
• A sporty sound under acceleration

For a given muffler, the sound also depends on the car: more present on the 3.6L, softer on the 3.8L. The gearbox matters even more: a Tiptronic keeps the engine at lower rpm than a manual, so it runs quieter.

Fitting

• Strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions)
• Mounts directly after the catalytic converters
• Average fitting time: 2 hours including removal. A lift is essential (without one, the rear bumper must come off and it takes twice as long)
• No need to remove the rear bumper: only the lower bolts behind the wheels
• The 4 sleeve bolts must be torqued to 46 Nm, progressively: a leak here ruins the whole sound
• If the sleeves to the converters and the clamps to the tips are original, it is best to replace them
