Racing by-pass Catalytic converter – Porsche 911 (964)

This version has no catalytic converter: it is a straight pipe without a muffler (by-pass), replacing the original converter with better flow and noticeably more sound. Power gain: 12 hp on a stock 964. The gain is 5 hp lower than our 100-cell sport converter: with a very free flow, back-pressure drops.

Fitting

• Strictly original interfaces (inlets, outlets, dimensions): direct replacement, no modification
• Mounts at the left rear, between the manifolds and the rear transverse muffler
• Average fitting time: 1.5 hours including removal
• A lift is not essential: without one, remove the left rear wheel
• Reusing the original Lambda sensor is not straightforward: be ready to replace it
• Tighten all nuts progressively
• Fitting kit included: gaskets, stainless bolts, stainless lock nuts, high-temperature copper grease
