Understanding the original to surpass it

• The original’s problem: the part has two inlets on each side; in valves-closed mode, the gases are forced through a duct of barely 38 mm leading to a pipe… that is obstructed, through a perforated plate
• The role of the original valves: on the PSE, they serve less to generate sound than to provide extra gas extraction at high rpm (opening at 5000 rpm at a standstill, for instance)

The secret of our version: a perfect mastery of diameter differences.

Sound

• Valves closed: a civilised, discreet sound, equivalent to the original PSE closed (95 dB under acceleration), with no resonance or drone
• Valves open: the flow is freed – a powerful, deep, aggressive sound (98 dB), worthy of the flat-six
